Can anybody tell me more about the protective fleece you can get for the rear screen when the top is down (how it fits/cost/effectiveness/where to obtain etc). Knowing the cost of screen/roof replacement I think that "prevention is better than cure"!

I bought one for my car.
It is pretty simply a bit of felt-like material. All it does really is stop the plastic chafing against itself when the window is folded.

I use it when I want to fold the window, and it is not absolutely clean (so that any grit can't rub and damage the window).
There is (what appears to ) a better solution available -->HERE<--
This one has straps to stop it flying away when windy, and a foam layer to smooth the crease-line over a wider radius.
I don't know anyone that has this one though.

OPC,s sell them for about £16.00, just a black shaped peice of felt with a label saying top/outside, about the samae cost as a Porsche Club Tshirt !

Thanks for the info chaps. But how does it stay in position when you get in the car to fold the roof? I don't mind doing the 'boxster-chop' every time I fold the roof, but I am not sure if I could be bothered to hold the felt in place in windy weather as well!
