Its raining hard in downtown Tokyo.....am staying in Roppongi otherwise known as "night club central" [:D]

Have not bumped into Kimi yet but its only a matter of time , will advise him to make time for PCF Days 2010 and book some tuition from Sean E.....if anyone has any messages for the F1 circus let me know

telling button to sort out quali would be a good start! Enjoy! Roppongi, now that brings back memories. What a place.

Have a great time and say "Ciao" to anyone I met on the yacht at the Monaco GP this year. [;)]

Nice one John, if you get lonely in your room at night you can always look at me lapping Spa below [:D]

I'm back ! GP was not very exciting ...which I ought to have anticipated , but weather was good and Suzuka circuit looked like a good one to drive.

Back in Roppongi did a bit of wandering around and found 2 places displaying interesting Porsches within a mile of the hotel .

The first one had a 'Bad Boys ' black 965 loaded up outside ready to be trailered away , and inside there was what
appeared to be a 964RS....went in and walked around it , looked like the real thing but didn't ask what the price was as nothing appears to be cheap in Tokyo and the pound only buys about 140 yen -used to be 200 !

The second place only had one car in the window - a 1972 2.4 911 in GP white ' price on application ' . I've also got an early 911 with a 1972 2.4S engine so thought I 'd get a picture , had to be taken through the showroom window .

Without wishing to be too much of a nerd about it, I'm not sure that is a genuine RS .........? It looks to have "standard" seats as opposed to buckets, and there appear to be speakers in the rear parcel shelf. Perhaps it's Touring spec ???

Jamie

Yeah , I'm not sure either Jamie , but that might be down to the Sapporos + Sake + Shochu .
I get the feeling that the Japanese market is not very educated in the sense that people will buy lookalikes for real money.

[:-][:-][:-]...very interesting comment John, you'd think they would be fanatical wouldn't you? Have you ever watched that program called "Ninja Warrier" on Sky for goodness sake?!
