A friend has his eye on a 993 and needs a PPI - anyone know of good specialists in the Kent area I can point him to?

My view is that poor alignment definitely should have been spotted by the PPI.

It does slightly depend on who the indy was - only in the sense that, if they were any-old independent garage (which I'm sure they were not) then you can't expect them to know a 911. But, assuming you took them to some one with a porsche knowledge reputation to protect, then they need a big stick waiving at them for this mistake.

Bad alignment is SO easy to spot if they are at all used to driving these cars.

I'm not sure about the over-lowering. Suspension adjustment is a matter of taste - so you might argue they had to assume that is how the owner wanted it. But in combination with the poor alignment they really ought to have discussed it with you.

If they are local to you then I'd be over to see the owner and get some recompense.

Perhaps you should tell us who they are at some stage when all has been considered and you want to make sure no one else uses their PPI services....

Hi Mark, thanks for your reply. Ive emailed you directly as I dont want to mention the name of the garage here. I think it would be unfair of me to do so as I would like to give them the chance to resolve any problems first, but wanted know what others thought and what they would do in my situation.
