On Sunday 21st March 2015, we were invited to an open coffee morning at Precision Porsche, Sheffield Park, East Sussex, along with some of their clients.

They opened their service workshops and body shop, for everyone just to wonder around, and ask their engineers questions, while supplying us with tea, coffee, bacon rolls and pastries.

A lot of people attended with an extremely wide range of Porsche models, and everyone had time to talk about their own particular car, while in the background was the hissing of steam, and the whistles from the locomotives on the Bluebell Railway, which backs on to the workshops of Precision Porsche.

In the body shop and in the workshop, there were 2 Porsches under going full restoration, and in various stages of rebuild, as were their engines, which were being rebuilt in a separate clean room, when I say cleanroom I mean it was hospital operating room clean! The workshops were similarly spotless, great pride is taken by all engineers and staff in not just the engineering they perform, but also the environment within which they work.

Members & clients were also able to book their cars in for a free one-hour health check, and a total of 12 cars had been chosen, representing a very varied selection of models. During this check, the engineer spent time explaining all the computer diagnostics to the owner, and all the tell tale signs to look for if anything was showing wear or any leaks from any part of the engine or running gear.

A couple of our members' cars were lucky to be selected for this inspection.

It was a very interesting morning, and thanks to Peter Rowe, Service Manager of Precision Porsche inviting us to the event, and to his team for being so chatty, helpful and informative.

Thanks to All at Precision Porsche.
