Prescott Revival was a great day out last year, any plans for a PCGB presence this year? A parade up the hill for the 911's 51st anniversary would be nice bonus as it was last year! I will definitely be going.

Prescott Revival - 10th August 2014
- Thread starter Stefan Wilczak
- Start date
Reminder that the Prescott Revival is running again this year on - Sunday 10th August.
Several members attended last year and reported a really good day out - some managed a run up the hill too!

It's free to attend too and quite central.
Regards,
Clive.

Have just booked four runs, well worth it, great day last year. You can buy additional runs on the day as well but I think you have to have booked for the initial 2 in advance so that you are in the paddock. Also, last year in the last hour or so they reduced the price to ÂŁ5/run - hopefully that will happen again this year! See you all there if you can make it.
If you're thinking of attending the Prescott Revival meeting on Sunday 10th August (Prescott Hill climb Cheltenham GL52 9RD), there's an opportunity to drive this famous hill. The cost is just ÂŁ30 and this includes 2 runs and Paddock Parking. You can register by clicking on this link.
This event is now celebrating its fourth year and has become a major fixture attracting large attendance of both vehicles and enthusiasts.
Hagerty Insurance, who are sponsoring the event, have the orchard site at Prescott and are looking to fill the area with as many car clubs as possible. Club space within the orchard is free, but passes are required. These will be sent directly to you just before the event.
Alan Bartlett over at Region 31 is dealing with this, so you can arrange your parking here..
For those that attend but don't want to do a hill run, you are invited to enter into the Hagerty Concourse d'Elegance.
Should there be enough members interested in attending, there is the possibility of a dedicated display area in the orchard area.
You will need to let Alan know before 11th July if you'd like to attend.
Regards,
Clive.

Hi Clive, there are already posts about this on the R16 and R31 sections of the forum plus the ROs for R16 and R31 have e mailed the members asking for replies so it seems there are multiple points of contact for replies but yours was the first with a deadline so who exactly is taking responsibility for organising participation in this event for PCGB Members?
By the way I already replied to Stuart Ings ( RO for R16 ) saying I would like to attend.

Greetings Adrian,
The deadline was actually given by Alan over in R31, so I guess he's in touch with the organisers (you'll appreciate it's not a PCGB event as such).
If you've already registered with your own RO, he'd be the chap to contact to see if you need to do anything else.
We will not be there officially as a Register, but I believe some of our members are intending to put in an appearance.
Regards,
Clive

I'm attending and had thought of making it into a register weekend trip, with a possible Cotswold weekender
However with a lack of shown interest and others events on the day proceeding it didn't develop.
I have my tickets, so will join others in the paddock - although obviously not in Porsche parking.

As it was such a great day last year I have again signed up for a couple of runs.
See you in the paddock!

Prescott Revival August 10
I have been in contact with Timothy Sawyer and he will be sending me the passes to post on to all those that will be going to the event, the idea being that they park in the orchard to put on a display.
The deadline is now July 18 then I will have to inform Tim of the numbers. I will of course need all your addresses to post on the pass.
Regards Stuart, Region 16

Well - that was wet - don't blame anyone for not showing up! Easy for me being reasonably local. At least it was dry over lunch when we walked up the hill to take the view and for 15 mins afterwards once the runs restarted. Only 4 runs this year but still exciting to go up such a nice hill climb course. Better weather next year - fingers crossed.
