Previous fast cars?

Very quiet on here at the moment, so stick up a picture of a fast car you owned before, and how it compared to your 944. Should have kept this one, probably worth £50-60k today

2001 996 C2

Great car but Porsche paranoia got the better of me, especially the anxiety inducing 911UK forum posts, as well as my kids not wanting to sit in the vertical rear seats that made them feel like they were about to be fired out of a canon.

By comparison, my early 944 is like driving an old beetle that's had a front engine transplant.

Maybe £80K now but wasn’t that fast - the engine was in the wrong end

I've got tons but no pictures I can find. Biggest regret is selling a genuine Mk1 Escort Mexico, rust free South African import, Daytona yellow, for £150 with a bust engine. About £30k for the shell alone today...............

I was well into RS Escorts, had around 12 from memory back in the 80's. I'll look for a pic of my last one, a MK2 RS2000 X Pack I had at the same time as my Cos.

Me too. Only the solitary Mk1 Escort but I reckon about 10 x RS turbo Escorts, S1 and S2. Also an Orion that I transplanted a turbo lump in to, and also a convertible with a transplanted turbo lump. I had a bright yellow Q plate with a 1.9 cvh, about 200bhp, it was easily the most fun. I then went mad with a 2.1 zvh and wide body kit on a S2 turbo, huge split rim alloys, over 300bhp and just undrivable really, torque steered all over the place! 6 injectors and Calibra turbo pistons. Definitely a boast in the pub car.....stage 3 Burton head, ah those were the days! A sapphire cossie, a V6 Probe, a V6 Cougar, Mondeo ST24. Oh a Fiesta RS Turbo too as well as numberous XR3i's, an XR3, and XR2 and an XR2i.

One solitary Vauxhall, a Cavalier GSi2000, was a good car actually, and a bin fire Series 1 944 lux long before the current 944. If I had any sense I would never have bought another 944 again after that shed on wheels, still I was young and I had a Porsche, that was all that seemed to matter with that purchase!

There will be more I have forgotten! Average time of ownership about 6 months, current car 15 years, I'm definitely slowing down!!
