I've got my C4 up for sale at £18,995. It's a fine car, needs nothing done to it, since I've just had the clutch, flywheel and a number of other things done on it. I've spent around £7,500 in the last two years, but I'm getting little interest (one chap did agree to buy it, but pulled out after he slept on it - the decision not the car!)

Is it just a poor time of year to sell? I notice that at dealers, they are flying off the forecourt, but I don't reckon these are as good as mine.

(not a naff colour either: grey with black interior, FPSH)

I'm in the same situation -
I've got a really good example in a great colour combination and it's had surprisingly little interest, even though it's in Top Marques.

I genuinely believe that the time of year doesnt help , I know of a couple of superb Porsche's 993/968 at the right money getting little interest at the moment , also of experience selling private your car can have little interest but when it hits a dealer then things can change quickly ! I hope as my 944 is on a sale and return basis at present

Yes Steve me.

I looked at Aerostars car as he had it with a dealer and i was after a cost for trading mine in for a lower mile example.

Even given the above there is still a great benifit in keeping a car you know and using the possible difference in trade for improvements etc.

At 84k I wouldn't see the benifit I'm after Steve. if i was just buying then I would come and have a look.
