Okay, would anybody like to stick a price on this please? I've had a look, it's clean and honest, solid history...

PORSCHE 944 Turbo 250 BHP, G reg. 77000 miles, 4 owners, immaculate bodywork, black leather int, sports seats, remote central locking, e/sunroof, a/c, MoT/tax, full Porsche history, new Cat1 alarm, radiator, condenser, engine mounting, K&N filter, handsfree phone

It's Guards red. Only mod is a boost enhancer.

Cheers
Andy

Colour? Any mods (wheels)?[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]Looking around £8,500 to £10k I would say, depending on colour etc.[FONT=verdana, geneva"]

Being Guards I'd say more in the £9k - £9,500 range. Guards isn't the worst colour for saleability but it isn't the best either.

Hi Andrew
Just had a look at the 911&pw web site, yes I think it's the same car.
Paint will need some work but nothing major.

Cheers
Andy

I'm guessing that white is the worst colour?

You could try to knock him down a bit on the black leather interior - very claustrophobic and no where near as desirable as a linen leather or grey interior which is far more opulent looking.

But red with linen is [:'(] (IMO).[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]Yes Tom, white is the worst colour in terms of resale. It isn't my personal least favourite though (and neither is red before all the Guards boys start...)[FONT=verdana,geneva"]

I don't know about red and linen, WUF looks good.

White isn't a bad colour when buying a car as it shows up any rust chips or other blemishes so the body needs to be in top class condition. It also hides any panel deformation though. Black is great for hiding chips and rust [8|].

White also shows up the panel gaps, but will stay cool in the summer and doesn't need cleaning very often, surprisingly. It can turn cream though.

But then you are not looking at a white car, you are looking at a red car and we all know what happens with red..........it goes pink. Given a choice between white and red I'd have white.

Red on a 944, to my mind, looks like it aught to be a Ferrari. But then I come from a very traditional back ground that says Italian sports cars are red; British sports cars are green; French, blue; and German, silver. The Americans don't make sports cars, so we don't have to worry about them not having a colour.

[I forgot WUF is red with linen - then again it's like mission control in there so you don't really notice the upholstery [:D][FONT=verdana, geneva"]

You need to be careful what you say about WUF. Rick is a big bloke and he has got a small arsenal. [:D]

Don't be telling potential buyers it is a good time to buy cheap when I am trying to sell, Sw1nes!!! [:-]

and I happen to like my guards red paintwork [:-] and my claustrophobic black leather interior [:D]

I personally wouldn't touch a red or a black 944 in very good condition with a barge pole and would be willing to pay a premium for a white one in similar condition. I like these cars in "cold" colours (silver, white, blue).
