Hi everyone,

got my eye on a convertible 996 turbo cabriolet at the moment 2004/04. If i can confirm it has full service history, is clean with no dents/scratches etc and seller is open to a full inspection, how much would be a reasonable price. it has 50k on the clock.
As i would have to travel 125 miles each way, it would be good to have some idea of price evn though i know there are many factors involved. Travelled even further when i originally purchased my current car. Any thoughts!!!!

That's because it isn't a 997 Turbo Cab.

Sorry thats me but it came up in the search and the heading was

2005 Porsche 911 2dr [997] Turbo Cabriolet 3.6

Confused!!! Why is this not a 997 turbo. Also, without offending, please remember my own car is a 996, if affordable is the 997 turbo an improvement on the 996 turbo? Finally, does the 996 turbo suffer with IMS seals. In other words does it have the same weaknesses as the 996 C2.
Thanks

The 996 Turbo doesnt come with any of the engine related 996 issues, just the usual front end water and A/C radiator problems. Engines bottom end is basically inherited from 993 Turbo and earlier models. Not many around under £30k!

997 Turbo's are starting at £45k at the moment and approx £8k more for Cab. The pictures for the red cab show a 997 interior so I would suspect that its a 997 2S cab and someone is being clever to get the innocent in "and then says turbo bodied" or something. Price is about right its one of the lowest about.
