I have just noticed there is quite a difference in price and spec for the 991 50th Year Special ... £75k equivalent on the US configurator to include power kit and sport chrono package, whilst UK car is £92k without power kit or sport chrono as standard .... Seems a bit unfair
Is it mostly down to taxes?

Saw one in the flesh yesterday and it's quite stunningly beautiful

'Twas ever thus - a combination of market forces, taxes and profit. But think yourself lucky you don't live in Singapore or New Zealand or Denmark...

Most US prices for imported cars are dollar equivalents for pounds sterling. Recently bought a new Range Rover Sport in UK. The US prices for in some respects a better specked car with large petrol engines are about 65k dollars! Prices for add ons are similarly cheap in comparison to UK prices.

I dont think the European cars would sell many if they were more expensive and the local taxes are very much lower than out 20% vat. However I am not aware of the depreciation as that may be significantly worse than in Europe.
