New prices for Porsche sports cars

Stuttgart. Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG of Stuttgart, Germany, is raising the price of its 911 and Boxster sports-car series with effect from August 1. The Cayenne models, as presented in February 2007, will not be affected. At the start of the new model year, there will be a 0.5 percent price increase on the Boxster and a 0.4 percent rise on the Boxster S and Cayman S. The Cayman price will remain unchanged.

The cost of the 911 Carrera, GT3, GT3 RS and all-wheel-drive models (excluding the 911 Carrera 4S Convertible) will go up by 1.5 percent. The cost of the Carrera S and the Carrera, Carrera S and Carrera 4S convertibles will rise by 1.4 percent, while the 911 Turbo will increase by 2.3 percent.

I've just come back from Florida's Gulf Coast and I must admit I was I had to do the sums when I saw this ad in the local classifieds! If only they were RHD in the USA!

Why we aren't be asked to pay even more and when you factor in the cost for the extra 2 years warranty the yanks get for free it makes you wonder "what the feck is going on"[]
