Private Plate

Hello all, I've been looking for a private plate for a few weeks with little joy. Tried the usual internet sites and magazines etc. I have seen a few cars with plates starting with C2 & C11 followed by 3 letters, and if I could find one of these with my initials then perfect. But I cannot find anyone selling plates of this nature. Could you guys out there with plates like this please let me know how you found them???

Many thanks

Thanks for your replies. I have just had a look at the DVLA site and they have some tempting plates as you suggest, but my ideal would be something starting with C2 or C11, and they only seem to go back as far as plates starting with D2/D11? Am I going slightly mad or just computer illiterate?

Try regtransfers.co.uk got mine from here (H4VE U) service was excellent and they list loads of private sellers plates...so you can make an offer and do some bartering etc....

was impressed by them

Thankyou very much for all your help & ideas on the plates. I have made some enquires into the sites suggested & spoken to the DVLA. It seems I just have to wait for someone with the plates that I'm looking for to sell them, so if anyone knows anyone with C2 JCS/C11 JCS & they're buying a ferrari (good grief) please let me know!

Hi,

I got my C4 plate with my initials from the DVLA as an xmas present [:)]

Pete

I think you will find that to be the other way around ! [&:]

Jonathan,
It would appear that 'JCS' is a popular combination of letters, the DVLA site doesn't have any Had a look for 'FRD' and the first one was 'C6 FRD' so the letter hasn't been taken out of circulation. (I have C2 on my 964 and C3 on my Volvo already).
Try the private plate sellers as something suitable maybe being resold.
Cheers,

Thankyou Fred, I'm continuing the search with the different private plate sellers & hope for the best. Frustratingly I saw a 996 with a perfect plate on yesterday
"C11 JCS", but lost it in traffic to ask if he still wanted it (which I guess he probably did)!

Sundeep - Think you're probably right, although a 355 might tempt me to the dark side? (lit the touch paper?)
