Probably an old topic but.......

..........i'll say my piece and then shut up! [:D]

When we first got our Boxster the etiquette between Porsche owners became very clear - lots of people in other Porsches would wave or flash and if i'm honest I really liked it - it seemed to be a sign of camaraderie.

However this seems to be happening less and less of late. This morning I saw two Boxsters and a 911 going along the A128 (which is a very long, fairly straight piece of road) and not one of the miserable bu**ers waved back.

Am I a minority now or do you chaps look like nutters waving at other Porsches too?

On my way back through London to Essex I passed five Boxsters and waved at each of them - nothing back at all! Including a couple in a Lapis Y-reg 2.7 with 17" Boxster wheels - ie the SAME spec as the car I was waving from! Also passed a silver X reg 2.7 in Ingatestone in Essex with no wave....

Interestingly, I gave a thumbs up to an immaculate red 20v Audi Quattro c 1990 and the drive flashed his lights and waved back. Come on chaps - we can do better than this!

I think a lot of people tend to buy into Porsche the label rather than the car. Hence not really enthusiasts.

Yes it's the old favorite again. We should all try harder. But saying that, it's probably not the people reading this who need the encouragement.

And in case anyone waved at me and I missed it (I always spot flashers), appologies as I was probably busy concentrating on something other than the road (whoops).
