Hi
I have just bled the clutch slave cylinder and have some problems that have occured since this was carried out - wondered if anyone else has come across this problem and knows a fix.
Basically while bleeding the circuit using a 'power bleeder' the brake fluid reservoir ran dry and it started blowing through with just the air pressure from the tyre used to power the bleeder (approx 14psi) - I realised the issue and went and refilled the reservoir then continued bleeding through until the fluid was clear with no bubbles, etc... then shut off the bleed nipple.
However on completion of the job and on trying the clutch the pedal simply goes straight to the floor with no resistance and remains there - something is clearly not right and I wondered if anyone has experienced this and could shed some light on it? Please note the clutch was operating perfectly before and I just carried the bleed out as part of scheduled maintenance.
I tried rebleeding the brake circuit as well but this made no difference to the clutch pedal.
All answers greatfully received - I have looked on the pcar diy and rennlist diy but they do not mention this happening at all - so I am a little bit at a loose end as to what to do next. Thinking of rebleeding the system and wondered if there are any other bleed points for the clutch system.
Many thanks
