Problems with the windscreen washers.

My windscreen washers are a bit low on oomph and don't manage to get up on to the windscreen, it sort of trickles out as opposed to coming out with some force.

I've taken the nozzles and pipes off and cleaned them all out as I thought there may be an obstruction of some sort but, it's made no difference.

Any suggestions?

Mike, have you made sure that the tube from the pump to the nozzles is completely clear and that the pump is functioning correctly?

I recall that some people have said that mixing the Porsche screenwash with other types can gum up the works quite badly, so it may be worth getting the tank out to take a look and to give it a good flush-out and to check the pump also.

mike check under the bonnet just
above the battery there is a t piece
on the hose make sure that its connected
right or you will just be pissing out water
next to the battery tray as this was happening
to mine and flooding the bulkhead regards Anders

On early 986's you can take the jets to pieces. Inside you will find a silicone tube (red, iirc) which gums up with congealed screenwash. Cleaning it out inside will restore the jets to normal.
