Any real disadvantages of this over the newer digital mk2? Does the new one do more things and do you really need them or is it a case of a new dishwasher with 24 trillion options and you use 2 (or the wife does!)
I wonder if the analogue look is more in keeping with early 90s technology.

I've got the MK2 and have seen some cars with the MK1. The MK1 is easier to setup with just a couple of knobs to twiddle to set your boost level, the MK2 has extra features that you may or may not need:

Records and displays peak boost
Multiple boost levels
Warning alarms if you start to overboost
Programmable boost creep or drop off (ie the boost can rise as revs increase or vice versa)
