Thrilling! Great drive.
Aren´t these 935s just monsters on the straights? The blue one pulls away like a rocket.
And - I hate to say that - the best sounding car in the video is the Ferrari 512. I saw (and heard!) them race there in 1981. I´ll never forget that 12-banger.
Also, the inline six of the M1 is very impressive at full chat.
Thanks for posting, Phil, it brought back some memories.
The Spa lap is cool also.

Hacki, I fancied buying a 935 at some stage (replica, but with a genuine JLP engine). When discussing the idea, one 935 owner put me off saying it drove like a pig--e.g. compared with our museum pieces. The spooler generates massive turn-in understeer he said. So it is much slower on entry than a 120-is-plenty. Of course, it would leave them for dead on Kemmel, but then what wouldn't [][][]

I think, it took a special driving technique to be fast in those ones. Choosing the "Donohue line" might have helped also. On the other hand, wrestling these overpowered creatures of their time round a circuit is prob not much fun today.
Maybe, it´s like the girl you loved 30 years ago. Don´t look at her now - memory is often better than reality.

What wouldn´t?[] A car, that has not arrived yet, wouldn´t![] Or did Monsieur Godot surprise you with his arrival?

Next task is lowering the dB for track use. Fortunately, Paul McLean can help. []

It would be useful to hear from someone who is driving these 3.0RSRs. Two questions: Is the gearing in the Spa lap what it should be? Is the car supposed to move that much, or is the driving a touch aggressive, or the car set up strangely?--note it looks smoother in the Le Mans lap (in the curves of course).
He does look "busy" in that Spa Classic video. Not saying the guy is a cr%p driver as clearly he has plenty of minerals and skills to burn. Gearing for Spa soooooo much shorter than that used in the Le Mans vid"¦almost as if he is a gear higher throughout for the equivalent speed Spa vs Le Mans.
Regardless of all this - epic vids both of them.
Off to Spa in 10 days. Bring it on!!
Happy summer all.
I think the driving isn't that untidy assuming he's on Ms, or some other period tyre.
Phil - great to meet you at Spa.
