Could anyone who has shown an interest in any of the proposed events as in Porsche Post please contact me and give me a note of your details - there may some scope for confusion/mistakes during the change over of ROs and I wouldn't want anyone to be given wrong/incorrect details or be missed out.

These events are primarily:
September's Hot Air Balloon Ride
Christmas Dance

Also, for some of our more regular ad-hoc events if anyone wants to put forward suggestions for activities or a show of hands for numbers for such things as the Callander Classics and the annual Concours, please feel free to contact me.

Drop an email to me on greig@mcarthur.org.uk or call 07984 975 641. I'm travelling from 4th-15th of this month so please forgive me if my response is anything but prompt.

A change of venue from the Sherbrooke would be nice. Cant understand why its been the chosen place when 1. its pretty grim even post smoking ban 2. there is not much of a drive involved to get there and 3. whats the point in going to a pub in cars anyway? Places like the Beech Tree Inn nr Killearn on the north side which also has a decent car park and is a nice drive in the summer might be better. I am sure South Siders can come up with a place over there. Then there is the nice pub at Ratho for the east coasters

I'd like to see more weekend drives with/without lunch and an exchange on the forum re great driving routes. The Bearsen/Drymen/Strathblane?Milngavie circuit out past Queens View is great on a late summer evening with the top down

I would agree. It is a nice drive to Killearn. I could even walk to the pub!
