Hi Kevin,

A stunning car! Congratulations! I've had my one for a few months now and I'm still grinning from ear to ear. I don't have the PTV option so I'm interested to here about the cornering abilities. The power of these things is unbelievable.

Thanks Simon! Congrat to you as well :) i am not sure if the improvement in dynamics is related to ptv but it does turn in a lot better than my previous c4s, i meam like 100% better, no signs of understeer at all.

I collected her from the dealer on sat. Still have one thing to accomplish, launch control... i tried 5 times and still cant get the light on the steering wheel to light up...

Any ideas?

Having sold my 997.2 C4S manual, I am fortunate to upgrade to a 997.2 turbo. What a day and night difference in terms of power and handling... Not sure if it's helped by the PTV option, it's sooooo agile going into corners... :)

Are you sticking it into sport plus mode first?

i had a C4S before I bought my turbo. This one’s a keeper. I’ve just had to increase my annual Locktons mileage from 5k to 7.5k. I can’t stop driving it!

I know :) i went out 3 times today for no reasons :)

Yes. I pressed the sports plus button, left foot on brake, put it on drive, floored the throttle, the rev goes up, it keeps it there without having the launch control light on the steering wheel...

Very puzzled.

That’s strange. May be worth getting it checked out.

I’ve only found the road space once since June to use the launch control. Brutal is the only word I can think of to describe it. Once my head had recovered from the shock I couldn’t stop laughing!

What region are you in?

Let us know how you get on.

I don’t know if you’re aware of DW Performance, an indy garage based in Wellingborough, but they’re having a coffee morning next Saturday. I thought I may escape London for a few hours to pop along. I’m getting them to fit a Sharkerks X exhaust to the car soon. I’m looking forward to a slightly louder growl from the car. Going through the Hatfield tunnel on the A1(M) should raise a few smiles after that!

Congratulations on your new car. I hope you enjoy many happy and safe miles in it. [:)]

A word about PTV, you need to keep an eye on rear brake pad wear as the rate increases significantly using this system.

Regards,
