PSE turns off on hard acceleration

Hi guys,

Another PSe question I'm afraid. I noticed today that when I turn on my PSE (lights switches off when turned on) and put my foot down hard it appears to turn off (light comes on), I can hear also that the exhaust goes quiet until I lift my foot and it opens once more.

Anyone any ideas what that problem might be?
 
The light comes on to show it is working and the exhaust note reduces as the revs are being limited due to the PSM working.
