Forgive me for what has no doubt been discussed to death.
Recently I have not been able to turn the pse to silent. Following a service, it now works, however, when on loud, it goes quiet in 2nd gear at approx .3.5000 revs.
It strikes me as the PSE is somewhat unreliable!
Any ideas?
Thanks
Seb

PSE will go quiet at certain revs and between 30 and 50 mph due to EU regs. The only way to make it loud all the time is to unplug it in the engine compartment. This will prevent it from going quiet at the designated revs/speeds but will obviously make the button redundant. It will still light up but not do anything. If you switch the button at tickover it is unmistakeable if its working. Light on-loud , light off - quiet. This is for the 997, I can only assume 996 is the same.

You can disconnect the speed signal wire to the relay (grey/pink) on the back of the relay panel, or remove the relay, take off the cover, and snip the connection to the pin.
