Puddle damage

I drove too quickly, through a puddle that was a little too deep today, and ripped off the gearbox under tray/guard. should I be worried/ have it replaced? has anyone else done this?

If it's the plastic tray, then it's probable there's little damage. New (or salvage) items are pretty cheap, and if you're missing the plastic nuts and bolts then it's an excuse to order from your local OPC and press your nose against all the goodies in the showroom while you wait for the parts department to come to you.

And as my driving instructor of many years ago said to me - only firemen like water on roads, so avoid it !

As it turns out it was the structural piece of sheet Aluminium that braces the cross members. Going to find a salvage part and replace.
