punctures - Low Profile

I was wondering could any one tell me if Michelin Pilot 265/35/R19 N2 low profiles are prone to collecting nails or have I just been unlucky? I have been driving for over 20 years and never had a puncture ..... but then I didint have low profiles.

I've had 4 punctures in the last 6 months all due to nails in the tyre and its the same back tyre, on the drivers side. One repair only lasted 2 months, as you can imagine its getting a little costly.... Appreciate your thoughts?

Oh and can anyone recommend the cheapest place to go to buy new? Live in Buckinghamshire.
Cheers

I think you may be unlucky. I had one puncture in my offside rear Porsche tyre quickly followed by two more in my daily driver both on the rear wheels. Before that I had no punctures for 10 years. Given the winter and the state of the roads and debris on them I think its a bit higher risk of punctures at the moment. You seem to have been very unlucky with the amount in the same wheel though. I wouldn't expect a repair to fail if it were done properly. Costco is usually the cheapest place to buy new if you have Michelins.

Thanks Robin for the reply, I was getting a little paranoid, I think may be I should try a different garage to gte this one repaired if possible. Thanks for the tip about Costco I'll have to check it out.

www.pneus-online.co.uk offer free 12 month tyre insurance on every tyre bought (extendable to 24 months) Maybe give them a go.

Good recommendation, Rodney - they list Pirelli winter tyres in Boxster sizes! And they have two outlets in MK!

Wheels in Motion/Black Rims in Chesham are good pricewise. They are also a very professional outfit, really seem to know what they are doing.
