Purchasing 991.1 C4S advice please

Hi all,

I am upgrading my very nice 997.2 C4S to a 991.1 C4S, a good spec with chrono, sports seats, exhaust etc. It’ from Cambridge Porsche and full approved. The mileage is 32k, which service is due and what things should I make sure have been done?

My 997 from Newcastle Porsche was prepared beautifully so I would like this the same.

Is it worth updating the satnav software if it isn’t already? Did in my 997 but not sure it was worth it really.

Anything else I should ensure is done on a 991?

many thanks

Rhys

Services due will depend on age
what year is yours?
if ito coming up 6 it’ll need drive belt/ equivalent
personally I have had sat nav upgrade but I generally use waze for the speed cameras and other useful info
enjoy

my 991.1 has had satnav update to 2016 - but apparently latest update to 2018 isn't available for 991.1 yet
have checked specifically with OPC and my (older) boxster PCM has the update but 991.1 not yet.
So if you have 2016 maps then that's it for the 991.1 probably until next year
If coming from an OPC you'll have the warranty, and any obvious problems sorted (tyres, brake discs, leaks etc)
So I would just check service history and when next one is due - and maybe request an oil and filter change if not done for a while (12-18months ago is a while)
Also would ask OPC for check of 'recommended' service activities due by now and which have been done previously and which not - as we all know the recommended service additions are not really just recommended so should have been done by most owners - if not best check and get them done. Chances are that most of those were done - but worth asking just to be sure.
