Question: I am looking for wiring details for the CDR21 & Nokia amp. I need to pickup the wiring to the speakers, after the amp. The problem is I have a relay to switch from radio to mobile. All wiring is currently local to radio, eg mute, perm power, switched power etc. It doesnt look easy to get from behind radio through bulk head to wiring on amp plug, therefore I am looking for where I can pickup the wiring within easy reach under the dash/interior. Ideally a wiring diagram would be of great help. I have installed this setup in other cars and also have it working in my BMW 330ci. The mobile is a Nokia CARK-91 handsfree.

Thanks Andy

Andy,

If you check your email I have supplied a wiring diagram attached to the email.
It may take a while to download if you don' t have ADSL as there are ten attached Gif images

Hope they help you

Hi, I am putting a nokia hands free kit into my boxster and could really do with the wiring diagram for a cr22 radio to 99 2.5 Boxster wiring loom, can you help ArBee??!

Many thanks,

Matt

Good grief! I missed this one somehow!

ArBee - I was looking for this info for myself a while back. Couldn't find anything...

Is your information only for the 2.5? Or does it cover my S as well?

Either way, I would love a copy please?

Mark

Pretty amazing ArBee!

Is there any chance you could also send me the wiring diag for the cr22 from a 99 Boxster?

Much appreciated and will no doubt save head scratching.[;)]

Hi ArBee, sorry to hassle you but nothing has arrived in my inbox yet and my poor boxster has its centre console removed waiting for the all important diagrams!

There's nothing worse than a car in bits with this awfull weather about!! Reminds me of those desperate early days when I had to rebuild an Astra GTE engine under a carport in the middle of winter!!

Enough of the blither !![&:]

Apparently, there is a made up loom to pipe the output into the speakers.
I have fitted my Cark91 into the boxster and I have mute, but not the output yet since I have the amplified version. I posted a question to the beckerboard and the reply is that the mute loom should work. Havent got it yet, but I have the traffic pro which is slightly different wiring. Mute requires connecting the yellow wire to pin 2 on the unit to get mute working. Only problem is that the Boxster is so loud, no one can hear you, and you cant hear them through the pathetic little speaker nokia give you!...

May well buy the proper loom although I have heard it only works on NON amplified systems?

Looks like everyone (including me) is now fitting handsfree kits to avoid the new enforced mobile rules! Could someone send these diagrams through to me too?

Thanks
Ian.

I dont think anybody has had the wiring diagrams yet, ArBee is maybe is maybe trying to beat David Blaine and Saddam in their isolation world record attempts??!

Anyway, I have done the upgrade to my own Boxster and its really quite simple. The total cost is around £100 and 2 hrs or work.

I'll post the instructions is anybody is interested.

Merry Christmas!!

If anyone who requested the diagrams has not received them, just drop me an email to ron@plasa.org and I will return the email with an attached winzip file containing ten sections of the Boxster radio wiring diagram in pdf form.

To every request for the diagram, I did reply with the winzip file attached - honest -

Firstly, Merry Christmas to everyone out there.

Santa very kindly delivered a new CD player yesterday (so ending 4 months of listening to the only tape I still own!) and now all I need to do is get the old head unit out.

Looking on the American site above there is a pair of Becker radio keys which are used to pull the unit out. Does anyone know where I can get something similar in the UK?

Also, has anyone upgraded to the sound package with the extra speakers? Mine just has the 2 on the dashboard and they sound quite tinny. However, the local dealer quoted over £2k to upgrade so I am reluctant to do so unless they make a real difference!

Thanks
Paul
