Dear Mr Bartram

Thank you for your email received on 13th October 2009, enclosing pictures. I was sorry to learn of the issues described in your email regarding yourvehicle. Please accept my apologies on behalf of Porsche Cars GreatBritain Limited. I contacted the Technical Department here at Porsche Cars Great BritainLimited, to give them the opportunity to view the pictures.

They advised the paint issues were caused by an outside influence, and therefore not theresponsibility of Porsche. As far as I am aware, a Porsche Centre has not seen your vehicle. Therefore, the Technical Department recommend you contact your localPorsche Centre for them to ascertain the reasons for the paint issue.

Details of your local Porsche Centre are below: Porsche Service Centre ByfleetBrooklands PlaceOyster LaneByfleetKT14 7JF Tel: 01483 421911 I hope the above assists and thank you for contacting Porsche Cars GreatBritain Limited.

Kind regards Clare Bayer

I would take them at their word and have the car looked at by your local Porsche centre. It seems that, at least in the US, several people have had their climate control panel replaced under warranty because of this issue, see [link=http://www.planet-9.com/cayman-boxster-complaints/31997-anyone-had-success-warranty-repair-interior-plastic-paint-peeling.html]the thread here[/link].

seems pretty clear!take it to the guys in byfleet(used to be camtune if i`m right-and i found them very straightforward nice guys
