Hi, the indicator on my car is incredibly quiet,

Agree not essential - but would be a preference to have it a wee bit louder,

Do these get quieter with old age?? ( recently replaced the indicator relay in our Audi and new one was much louder ).

- and are they easy to replace?

many thanks,

Mine has always been too quiet, but I have never asked anyone to look into it, I'm interested to know what I can do to make it louder though.

Tragically had I have the same problem, was told by sensible P enthusiast that perhaps I should be paying more attention while driving nice P car.

Have learned the error of my ways.

Embarrassed owner.

Porsches of this era seem to have fairly quiet electro-mechanical indicator relays. I believe - but you'd need to confirm before purchasing - that the pin layouts on the relays are fairly generic, so you should be able to find an alternative that has a louder tick.

Here is one option for a supplier: http://www.altecautomotive.co.uk/flasher-units-253-c.asp

That said, I rather like the discreet click of the standard item and cannot recall a situation where I've forgotten to cancel the indicators when required.

Sums it up, ha, ha [:D] Cancellation not usually a problem, but hearing the indicator sound could be down to the age of the driver[:D][:D][;)] What's that you say, sonny?
