Hi, I cant work this telephone out.
I have the the sim card slot which I put my sim into and closed the flap, and I have the parrot but when I attempt to press phone, nothing happens, anyone know why this is, I am assuming a phone module is connected giving the kit linked to the phone?

cheers,

C2s

You may not have the phone module option, even though there's a sim slot. I believe it can be retro-fitted. Ask your OPC.

I'm no expert on electronics, but sticking a sim card in the slot then trying to phone the number from a land-line should do it, I would have thought. [8|]
Otherwise drive it down to your OPC and he'll be able to analyse the unit from his readout.

What happens when you press the Tel button on the PCM? If there is no phone module fitted it will say something like "Internal Telephone Not Available". The Parrot is probably not connected to the internal phone, even if one is fitted, it is more likely to provide a Bluetooth connection to a mobile phone with sound through the car's speakers. There is probably a microphone in the sunvisor area.

Who's SIM card...?
I only ask as 3 doesn't work in PCM, the usual Orange, voda and O2 do...

Yes your correct, got that message when pressed the phone, damit I wanted it working, whats the best cause of action now as I have read the module is discontinued?
maybe I will have keep an out for used module and try and get one fitted then I can purchase the handset from porsche as they still do that

also yeh it was 02 sim card.

I think it will be difficult to retrofit the Telephone module. It would be easier and cheaper to use the Parrot kit with your own mobile.

yeh I got that working last night, works a treat I was just used to havinga phone in my m3 then 996 so no problem its proberly better this way at least I dont have to keep changing the sims over.
