Just wondered what was the normal delivery mileage is on a Porsche - my GT4 is at the detailers getting Machine polished and PPF applied and was told by them it has 8 miles on the clock. My friend who i trust says thats normal but i have also seen other cars with zero miles on social media etc ... Just wondered what your experiences and thoughts are ... Andrew

It will depend on if yours was one selected for emissions test since a proportion of cars produced have to be dyno tested, bear in mind that there will be some distance covered just in moving a car around once it comes off the line so nothing has zero miles even if moved from the line straight onto the truck for delivery the truck will not be outside the door and the car has to be driven from the end of the line to the holding point, it will also receive it's ECU flash downloads in the last section of the line, be part filled with fuels and so on, emissions testing adds approx 12 to 17 miles for the dyno run.

Mine has 6 miles on it. I have never picked a new car up with 0 miles on it. Don't forget they have to use a car at the factory to go and pick up the bratwursts at lunchtime!

had a variety of delivery/hand over miles on mine over the years - never had one with 0 on the clock. Miles have ranged from 5-35 all pretty much normal depending on the car and level of PDI involved. My view, don't worry about and just enjoy the car ;)
