I probably put this post in the wrong section first time around...

I'm looking for information, I'm trying to find out just how many Gen 2 Targas there are on UK roads. I've seen numbers ranging from 5 (which seems low) to around 100 (which seems high) can anyone give me a proper guesstimate?

ahhhhh thank you Ralph never knew that existed.

So there were 281 gen 2's registered in total in the UK... not sure how many are left of that figure because the figures are a cumulative total...

It shows how many remain either taxed or on SORN, if you look at some models you will see the aggregate numbers declining, presumably through scrappage or export.

It would seem that the description on the V5 has been used across a number of variants, so in total around 400 cars were in the UK of which around 80% are still around and 25% of those are SORNed.

All in all, if we average the data it would seem that there are probably around 224 gen 2 cars left of which 45 are likely to be SORNed so around 180 cars on the road.

I've only seen 3 come up for sale since I started looking, I bought 1, and there's still 1 for sale. Now I need to start looking for another rare(ish) model that's a bit newer...
