Question for Oil Man

We had a terriffic time at Le Mans and on the way back, as well as the wine, I bought 2X 5L Mobil One 5W - 40 Essence (petrol of course) 'Formule Longevite'.
Now, my question. Is this oil going to be suitable for my 2001 MY Boxster S with 69K on the clock? Have I bought the wrong oil??? Thanks Tony
 
Another related question to Oilman:
I too got the 5W 40 Mobil 1 on the way back from Le Mans and since they only sell 0W 40 in the UK is 5W good enough for UK winters? Also, can I top it up, if required, with 0W or will I have to get more 5W for top up?
