Here is a question from a member

I have a 1981 924 auto. Unfortunately the seal on the sunroof has worn a little thin and there is a leaky problem in 1 corner. The drainage hole has been sealed due to a perished pipe, but now the water seeps through the seal. Would a new sunroof seal solve the problem? Has anyone else experienced this?

Is it the front or rear drainage pipe that has perished? If it's the front, removal of the pillar trim will reveal the pipe and may facilitate its replacement. Even with brand new seals, there will be seepage which obviously runs out through the pipes . Three pipes may be able to cope once the seal is replaced

Ha ha whos sunroof doesn't leak? I think every one ordered the same optional extra:ROFLMAO:

Mine leaked in yesterdays storm, you can use pipe cleaner, you know those long thin cotton type wires and try poking them down the sunroof pipes, BUT be gentle as not to diconect the pipe on the side of the petrol filler cap as it meets a junction joint from the filler cap drainage pipe. Failing that try Mr Muscle sink cleaner that'll unblock it. Good luck. I gave up with my sunroof[>:]

Actually the sunroof on one of my 924 Turbos doesn't, but then again, that car's only done 64,000 miles

Mines just done 68K ( That I know of [8|]). I'll try out the Vasaline on Sat. Cheers for that tip!
