Question on Coil packs

New member
My 2002 996, broke down following some rough running. The Green Flag computer said that two of the coil packs had failed.

Should I replace just these two or all six, not sure when they were last replaced

Any advice would be most welcome

Hi raj
As Andy says, for what they cost and while your in there it's just as well to replace all 6
Over time they crack & split causing water to penetrate
Replaced mine with "Beru" from carparts4less or euro car parts
Straight forward task really

Hope this helps you

Thanks

Ordered 6 new coil packs, from Eurocrat parts

Should I replace the spark plugs a the same time, last changed 18months ago, done 2500 miles since then

Andy

I have just noticed on car parts for less, Bremi branded coil packs are about £10 each less than the Beru, is there any quality difference?

Thanks

Raj

I replaced mine with beru. However, only replaced the two that were playing up. 20k miles later, still no issues with others. Coils do go in pairs so if one fails you can almost be sure that the other has gone
