Question on front shocks on 924s

The 944 section, here, seems to attract a lot more traffic than the 924 one does - and given that the two cars are identical mechanically, at least the pre 85 944 and the 924s, i'm going to cross post my question here too - original is here http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=451918.

Basically, I have original adjustable front shocks on a 924S and would like some advice on how to test them, and get replacements or get them refurbished. Thanks Steve

I think they were adjustable konis on the Le Mans? I believe Sportsline in Brackley will rebuild konis. You'll be looking at three figures per side though.

How does the car drive? - what makes you think the dampers need a re-build? If they are the originals, then there's no doubt that a re-fresh would be worthwhile.

The Boge inserts are for the standard strut. I have no idea if they will even fit the M030 strut, I've never seen them on a 924.

all the info you ever need should be on http://www.924.org

I agree about their being original, as Ive commented elsewhere. Sadly I cant help further.
