Question on the colour of shock absorbers

Got a question on identifying the shock absorbers fitted to a 993. I know what HD Bilsteins look like as I have these on my car.

What is the colour of the factory standard shocks and what colour are the factory sports shocks? Do the two factory options look the same externally?

Reason I ask is a was looking at a 993 for sale and the owner claimed the car had sports suspension and that it had Bilsteins. The shock absorbers were green though. Do Bilsteins ever come in green for a 993?

Ian.

Thanks Maurice.

As soon as I saw the car I though "Monroes" as they were green and looked just like the ones that came off my car. But the seller insisted, even when pressed, they were Bilsteins hence my question.

Yes out shopping. Looking for a high mileage motorway mule and track car so I can keep my current car in the lifestyle to which it has become accustomed. Looking for Midnight Blue or Guards Red C2 with about 90/100K+ miles on it and cheap so I can afford to spend the bits on it to make it good on the track.

Hello Ian,

This one sounds like a nice car but not quite what you are looking for, but cheap all the same.

On: www.autotrader.co.uk

1996 Porsche 911 2dr Carrera 4 coupe
144k Nreg, FPSH, Dark green (racing green good for the track) £19950 ono
07775878122

More info on the site, and nothing to do with me, just sounds a cheap car.

Regards, David.

Thanks for that but very specific on requirement and that fails on both colour and C4.

There was still a couple of higher mileage cars at Northway though he has sold a few recently they've both been there a while and you might get a grand off if you blame me. Just had a look a couple seem to have dropped off still worth a ring incase its an error.
