Straight thru non-cat non silencer system, basically all what we run but with the additional G-Pipe so like a straight thru Cup system .... does this>

1. Cause slight loss power or torque?

2. Can lead to any engine problems?

Don't thinks so, may benefit from a remap. But why Des, it'll pretty much ensure your thrown out of any trakday or competitive event in the uk and in a 'carpetless' situation probably mean you drive everywhere with ear plugs - or are you sufficiently deaf already?

To be fair he wont get thrown out of competitve events. So testing is likely to be in, most race events are likely to be in. Depending on noise level anything at 112DB will be fine I think. Trackdays clearly all out. Plus, with a cup bypass I ran earplugs in Minty anyway.

Go do it Des, just get swapped back for trackdays. Any garage is only charge an hour to swap a cup pipe and Gpipe. I remember meeting someone at some event how came up to me and Minty and said "I've been in that car!, it was the loudest car, I've ever been in!"[:D]

I wouldn't be too sure about racing at 112dB. I've certainly been noise tested at Brands and Snet in the past and I know Combe have strict noise limits.

Pardon?

I've suffered permanent ear damage from the Cup before I put the C2 silencer on and had to wear ear plugs, even with crash hat on.......

Still, it's possibly more fun than w@nking..........[:)]

Melv I think you must be doing it wrong [:D] Des please don't do it. It sounds bloody awfull . If you want to go the noisey route, do it the right way ! Have a set of equal length headers made up with race cats and bespoke silencer and enjoy more power with a reasonble exhaust note. Brands, your local, regularly noise tests at track days so with a straight through system you won't get on. Or is that the idea ? [;)]
