Quick 993 valuation please

Hello there, just days away from selling the 968 (hopefully) and I have spotted a 993 C2s with 88,000 on the clock for sale for 25k at a location not too far away from me. It has had 2 owners. I haven't viewed the car yet and would clearly want an independant inspection but could anyone give me some views on whether this is a good price. It seems to be in a popular lightish blue hue colour which is not my first choice but seems nice enough.

For an S it seems very reasonable - there was a thread on here a few months back about Ss going like hot cakes for rather more (from memory)
 
have you seen it or a picture, or other verifiable details
are you sure its an S with the wide body etc
if so and its a decent car with proper history RHD thats I would have thought a very good price. If its just a C2 the analysis would be different
 
As said above, if it is an S, that is a steal unless there is something wrong with it.

Unfortunately you have not said what year it is, but if we take it to be an average 94/95 MY it is about ballpark. The value is also determined as to what has been done to it.

Is it a known car here or on one of the forums and who has been looking after it?
 
It is a 1997. I will try and find out some more about the car, waiting a call back from the owner. It doesn't say so in the advert but I suspect it might be a tiptronic. The car is on autotrader close to Glasgow (Bellshill). Will let you know if I find out more, thanks for your help.

It's certainly an S - look at the flared sills, the rear bumper, the 18" turbo twist wheels and the spoiler. Looks exactly like a C4S. However, at that price, I'd be very careful. Something does not smell quite right ...
 
Just spoke to the guy. It is a tiptronic, which I am just not interested in at all unfortunately. Would have been nice for the advert to state that it was a tiptronic. Anyone seen any similar cars out there in a manual? There is the one at Strasse which seems very nice but is right at the top end of my price range.
