I have just succumbed and bought myself another road car, it is a model that I have had my eye on for a while -- not new, not a Porsche, can you guess?

I'll give points out of 10 for how close you can get, that will help you to home in on it. (for 10 points you'll need the model, No of cylinders and the cubic capacity!)

Im guessing itl be an estate / avant / touring.

Maybee another audi, as i know you like them..

Has it had a "gas" conversion fitted for good MPG, or should i say FVM [Follet value for money.??

Dave -- you are in the right area. [;)][;)] 7 points for that guess!

Now need just need actual model, cylinders and cubic capacity - no LPG conversion BUT defo a gas guzzler ..................

Neil -- you are moving in the right direction -- so 8 points for that guess. Clue -- the car has a normally aspirated engine.

ps .... did you say to me once that you might want a new tow barge for your racecar? my old Audi A6 Avant is for sale here: http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3727940.htm

Ok so its a,,,
Audi,,,
its an avant,,,,
it sounds like it has a LARGE engine.???

Not that well up on audi designations, so come on paul, spill the beans....[;)][:D][;)][:D][;)][:D]

Marv - you are edging towards smaller Audis, the trail gets colder there...........

So to re-cap, not an RS6 but of that type of size and it is the estate/Avant version. Just to throw in a curve ball the engine is Italian !!

Is there not a lambo/audi tie up somewhere along the line...[:D][:D]
Wow that,d make for a real "sleeper" of a car....

Dave, you're a bit of a tease! .............

Need to stick with Audi, at least the servicing costs should be more controllable than the Ferrari equivalent -- which is not such a bad looker by the way.

OK here it is.................

An Audi S6 Avant, with a 5.2 ltr V10 Lambo engine, no turbos and no cambelts (has good old fashioned chains) ...... it has done 45,000 miles and is on a 56 plate with full service history.

I only have two problems a) keeping my licence b) paying the road tax which is through the roof.

I bet that thing sounds awesome. The modern Lambo's have an incredible sound. I pulled up next to a bloke in a murcielago near Northampton a few years back, he was in the middle lane and kept booting it, lift off, boot it, lift off etc. He had a grin on his face like a naughty little boy who found the keys to the tuck shop. Did make me smile to see someone getting so much pleasure from a car and it sounded great from where I was as well.

Neil

talking of the noise it makes ...... another dilemma -- do I listen to the Bose stereo? or open the windows and listen to the delicious sound track from the exhaust?

........ and I am that naughty little boy - never really grew up!

Sounds flippin brilliant......[:D][:D][:D]
Both engine noise and the fact itl be quick.....
Hey, you only live once.....go for it....[:D][:D][:D]
