R10 Event idea #1 - clay pigeon shooting

I recently had an enjoyable Saturday morning shooting clays in Sheringham (near Emberton).
The (discounted) price was £33 for about 70 cartridges at 5 stands, with an instructor.

If anyone else from the region is interested in coming along to a future 'shoot' then let me know.

Nice one. I think this is a great idea, and one we ought to get behind. I've never shot with a 12 bore, but I hear it's fun. Can I bring my hacksaw, saw the barrell off and increase my hchances of hitting the target ?

We ought to get this pushed out via the newsletter - whenever it is next published

Good idea for an event. An alternative location is Sporting Targets near Riseley, Beds - not sure what the price would be for a group session.

I'm sure we can get enough interest to do this - with enough notice. Can the one at Sherrington offer a group session for us.

I think that up to about 15 can be catered for, but we would be split into groups of 4.

Only 3 or 4 interested so far - perhaps they know how accident prone Steve can be!

I'll just bring my enormous hosepipe. Sporting targets is close to my house Brian...want me to help or shall we assign to the other active members ?? [;)]

I have a date: Saturday 29th November.
Arrive at Sheringham for 9am for coffee and biscuits.
Probably start shooting at 09:45 with at least 50 shots each (with lots of additional practice). Likely to finish at about 12:30.
Cost is only £33 !

I need to confirm numbers and will require a deposit of £10 each.

Men and Women catered for (lighter guns for the blokes [8|]).

I need definite confirmations (and deposit) for this, ideally before the 10th November.

Sorry this event wasn't supported well enough by the region at large.

This, Cambridge Motorsports, Christmas event etc etc makes me wonder if MK & NHANTS have been gobbled up by the Matrix !
