Following Steve Darnells 'broken hand' incident on the South Downs way earlier this year the R10 Moutnain Biking brigade are returning with Steve so that he can complete the 2nd part of the ride that he missed.
On the 24th of September we will be riding from the Jack & Jill Windmills to Eastbourne, with a brief stop along the way for lunch. We will be getting the train from Bedford to Hassocks and returning by train as well.
There will be about 8 of us on the day of mixed abilities. If anyone from the area would like to join us for some or all of the day you would be most welcome. All up the ride will be about 45m and includes some fantsatic scenery. It also includes some 'mega hills' which must be climbed to see these views so a good basic level of fitness and a reliable mountain bike are probably pre-requisites.
Details of the SDW here http://www.nationaltrails.gov.uk/southdownsframeset.htm - we will be doing half of Section 4 and Section 5 on the day.
Let me know, via the forum or a PM, if you are interested.
