As Judy & I were on holiday at the last monthly meeting at Garstang Golf Club, the photographic competition may not have been mentioned.

The original closing date for entries to the R18 photographic competition was 30th September. In view of the two events below I have extended this to Monday 3rd October, to give you a chance to submit any final pictures to Sean Conboy at hello@seanconboy.com. For those of you not aware Sean will be choosing the best 12 to produce a Region 18 Calendar. There will also be a special prize for the winning photograph.

Just a quick reminder about two breakfast meetings this coming Sunday 2nd October, which may not have been announced at last weeks Monthly Meeting at Garstang Golf Club

Classic Car Breakfast Meeting, The Corner House, Wrightington. 9.00 to 12.00. An informal gathering of sports and classic cars. You need to be there at about 8.30 to get on the car park. Coffee and bacon rolls available as well as a good lunch. Event finishes about 12.30. See www.thecornerhousewrightington.co.uk

'Cars & Coffee', Liverpool. This event attracts about 400 sports and supercars, starting at 9.00. Again arrive a s near to 9.00 to get on the car parks. Venue Chung Ku Restaurant, Columbus Quay, Riverside Road, Liverpool, L3 4DB. It is just behind the Jaguar dealership. The restaurant car park is used together with the car parks of the adjacent office park. It is well marshalled. There is a charity collection each month for a different charity. Coffee and the Chinese equivalent of a bacon roll are available. Check out the details on Facebook.

Tuesday 4th October – Social Meeting – Green Hills Hotel, Wigton

Further October and November events to be published later.

I am currently working on next years events calendar and already have a number of dates confirmed.

ok David......who's won and where do I pick up my prize? Sorry, I meant where do the winners collect their prize.......[;)][:D]

As Tom Jones famously sung...

... you can leave your hat on.

Is that the winning shot?

If that's the standard we're aiming for I've no chance....[&o]

Thanks Rob, clearly I dont look a day over 84 then.....

I would however warn you I still have pictures and video of you dancing (?) at Mr. Wilsons wedding which will now be available by sealed bid.

Gareth and Martin, your ongoing support is truly heartwarming.....[&:]:ROFLMAO:

I'll have you know Colin that in a certain light I am often confused with George Clooney

Sadly that appears to be a rather dark light.....[;)]

I have to admit the photo does exhibit a certain-joi de vivre-whether that is because the chinstrap is too tight or not ,only George Clooney could know-any one for coffee?[:)]

I'm sure Gareth will have even better shots of you that could be featured in the 2018 calendar "portraits of a nervous track day passenger".

As for my Strictly Come Porsche Club audition tape, don't forget about the Restraining Order...[:D]

It's going to be tough for Sean Conboy to judge as he has had 145 entries submitted before the deadline

What with 144 bungs from Jeremy?
Probably more difficult counting the money --oops-I promised not to tell??
