R19 Concours 964 get together

Dave Wilkinson

In the absence this year of John Miles' wonderful 964 Devon Weekend a few of the 964 owners have been mulling over an alternative meetiing for the Summer and it has been suggested that R19s Concours event at Basildon Park near Reading might provide an excellent opportunity and location.

There are details on Fab's thread here but I'm keen to get an idea of the level of interest - particularly from those I know are likely to come some distance from places such as Luxembourg and Brussells to name but two.

It's obviously a lot closer for those in the South East than Devon but I'm sure there are a few from the South West who may be less inclined. I've posted messages on Rennlist and Yahoo Groups too.

We managed 25 cars last year in Devon and it would be nice to add to our growing numbers this year.

Regards

Dave

Dave thanks - to remind folks of a message sent a few weeks ago (see below) we do want to have a 964 and 964 RS presence at basildon park and to try and do something a little different. Please let us know if you are planning to attend and also what of the below, or other ideas you have to make this year different....and more fun.

Regards Alexander Drobik

There will be a 964 get together at Basildon Park. We are looking to have a combo 964 and 964RS session.

We are also looking at ways of making the gathering more fun so instead of an unofficial concours we are inviting
ideas for what else could be done - Noisiest Car Competition, Car Improvements Clinic, Funniest Track Day Moments,
964 Bring & Sell Table, Photo Competition, and so on.

Please let us have your ideas.

Regards Alexander and Des

Hi Elliot,

We do appreciate all the assistance that you give the 964 owners, by answering so many of their queries.
Therefore as a 964 Register Honorary Life Member we are always pleased to see you at our events.
Looking forward to meeting with you and the rest of the 964 team at Basildon Park.

Hopefully my newly acquired SatNav will show me the way [8|]

Best wishes
