I have created a Treasure Hunt in aid of 'Help for Heroes', Porsche Aberdeen has provided some fantastic prizes as you can see from the advert below;

Please, please, please try to attend, so we can get lots of cash for 'Help for Heroes' and have a great day out with lots of cars;

Members from all areas are welcome

The advert (sorry had to paste it in and all the formating has gone);

R2 Treasure Hunt 30th June

Please join the Porsche GB R2 club for a fun and easy 'car based' Treasure Hunt starting in the Granite City and finishing in Montrose in aid of "Help for Heroes". The emphasis is on having a good time and finding the "˜not too difficult clues', rather than the fastest back!

You will need £5-£10 pounds in change, a camera phone or digital camera, clip board and pen and a sense of humour! If you're not too sure of your way around, a Sat Nav that uses postcodes may be useful but not essential. All cars are welcome, £10 entry donation per vehicle regardless of the amount of passengers. It is suitable for the whole family.

All monies raised will go to 'Help for Heroes' We will meet at 11:00 for sign-on outside the Porsche Garage Aberdeen, ready for an 11:30 start.

1st Prize "" Donated by Porsche Centre Aberdeen "" A weekend with the demonstrator 911, (Please note drivers must be 25 or over)

2nd Prize "" Donated by Porsche Centre Aberdeen "" A morning at the Silverstone Porsche Driving Experience

All Competitors will receive a prize on completing the event.

Contact me to guarantee your place. Please give your name, type (911, Boxster etc) and your registration plate, to help me identify people on the day. Email phil.birt@zoho.com . You can register on the day, but prebooking helps me with numbers for the finish venue.

Most insurance companies cover treasure hunts/scatter navigation rallies, as the driving is not competitive but please ensure your car insurance does before attending.

The event will finish at 3:30pm in the Charleton Farm Coffee Shop just outside Montrose http://www.charleton-farm.co.uk/, where you can get a coffee & delicious cake (at your own cost) before the prize giving.

Please try to attend regardless of the weather, to support the event and to support "Help for Heroes".

Driving your Porsche on the day is preferred but not essential. It would be nice to get a group photo at the end in front of the line up.

Thanks and here is praying for sunny weather...

Congratulations young Donald on winning first prize. A Porsche for the weekend, not getting fed up of driving Porsche's?
Look after mine on the fish & chip run.
Cheers.
