This is a brief update to remind you that our October Monthly meeting will be on Tuesday 1st October at our normal location, The Rose and Crown, Hawridge, Chesham, Buckinghamshire, HP5 2UG, 01494 758944. People normally arrive from around 7pm and it is best to come early if you want to have a meal.
For our October evening we have the Herts Air Ambulance organisation coming along to give us a talk on what they do. Unlike NHS emergency services, the Herts Air Ambulance, part of the Essex & Herts Air Ambulance Trust is a Charity providing a free life-saving Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) for our county.
Region News
We have had a good response to our New Year Dinner and thanks to all of you who have already booked and helped us pay the deposit on time. There was a problem with the booking code provided by the hotel which was incorrect. The code has now been changed to PORS110114 so please use this code. There were also some questions on the cost of the rooms, and we have confirmed this week the rate of £65 is for a double room with Breakfast for 2 people.
The other news is that we have negotiated an improved rate and the £25 now includes a disco.
