Region 21 members,
This is a brief update to remind you that our September Monthly meeting will be on Tuesday 3rd September at our normal location, The Rose and Crown, Hawridge, Chesham, Buckinghamshire, HP5 2UG, 01494 758944. People normally arrive from around 7pm and it is best to come early if you want to have a meal.

Porsche Centre Hatfield Classic 911 Restoration Project
I attach below a note we have received from David Richmond who is the Marketing and Events Manager at Porsche Centre Hatfield who has provided an update on the 911 Classic Restoration project they are working on including access to their blog and how to find out more about the project and give them some feedback.
Update from David:
"The project car is plodding along. It is back from the sandblasting company
and we now know the extend of the body work required (which is quite a
lot)!
As a result, the project is in limbo until we find a bodyshop to carry out
the small bit of welding required and/or spray the body in the time frame
required. This will hopefully be decided upon this week so that we can get
back on track as soon as possible!
In the meantime, I have created an online blog for the project:

A part of the competition is for us to market the entire process of our
involvement in the project. As a result, I would be extremely grateful if
you would be able to send out a short note out to R21 members containing
the website of the blog. It is my hope that this would put us in a good
position with regards to generating chatter/obtaining feedback on our
ideas. Furthermore, I think that the members will find the posts
interesting and also I am sure will be keen to know that their views and
opinions (from the feedback we obtained via the questionnaire at the club
night) has been fed directly into the specification of the final design!"
Future events for the region
Kop Hill Climb Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd September "" while we are currently not organising participation as a region 21 event this takes place in our region and is a really interesting few days with a great variety of old cars and bikes at a good venue near Princes Risborough. More information on the event can be found at - www.kophillclimb.org.uk/

November 5th - Social Evening
December 3rd "" This will be held at the Hatfield Porsche Centre who have offered to host this Xmas evening for us where we will also be providing a simple buffet.
