R21 Weekend of the Year to Somerset/North Devon
8-10th April 2016

(Please ignore the dates previously advised in Porsche Post and e-mails)

For 2016 the R21 WOTY will head to the beautiful area of Somerset and North Devon. We will be based at the Northfield Hotel in Minehead which is a well-regarded hotel with good reviews and ample parking for our Porsches.

The outline plan is for people to make their own way down to Minehead on Friday 8thApril. Afternoon tea is available at 4.00pm, if you arrive in time, and then we will meet for drinks and dinner. On Saturday 9th April we will explore the exciting and dramatic roads of the area taking in the 1 in 4 Porlock Hill, the seaside town of Lynmouth and the open roads of Exmoor. Afternoon tea will be available if you wish or you may chose to carry on driving some of the best roads again. We will meet for drinks and dinner on Saturday night.

Sunday options include another look at some of the best roads in the area coupled with some general sightseeing. The West Somerset Railway is close by and is scheduled to be running on 10th April for those interested in steam railways.

The weekend concludes on Sunday afternoon but some people will opt to stay on for another night to make for a more relaxing return to the Chiltern area on Monday.

The facts:

Date – The nights of 8th and 9th April with Sunday 10th April optional.

Cost - £148 per double room per night, which includes Afternoon Tea, 4 Course Dinner, Breakfast and Accommodation. Single rooms are available at £77 per night.

Booking – Phone the Northfield direct on 01643 705155 and quote Porsche Club Weekend. A £50 deposit is required.

We have provisionally reserved 10 rooms but please book quickly to ensure that we do not lose them.

If you have any questions or would like further information give me a call on 07748 555333 or e-mail R21@porscheclubgb.com.

As of 5th January 9 rooms have been booked so we have provisionally reserved a few more on the basis that there may be more members that wish to come.

I have checked with the hotel today (27th Jan) and there are only a couple of rooms left so if you are thinking of joining us for this year's R21 WOTY don't leave it too long!

My neck of the woods! [:)] Any chance of an R15 interloper joining in if you have the space available? [;)]
Regards,

Clive

I have heard that something in the water in north Devon can play havoc with the local time zone.
By the way, are you sure the car show in Lynton is this year, it may be for 2019.
