Hi Everyone

Just a quick update summarising the additional detail of some events that were announced in NAT (News at Ten) at last Club night and others that due to space restrictions I could not submit for the Porsche Post.
Not only do you get great value for your PCGB membership (just see discount deals below) you also get terrific variation of events from Pigeon shooting to Classic Motor racing both at home and abroad.
Five items below. Sorry if this e mail seems a bit disjointed but in most cases I have cut and posted what I have received.

1) The Silverstone Classic 23-25 July 2010
If I could only attend three events this year this would be one of them. The Silverstone Classic. In order to get your ticket deal book by 30/3/10 or you will have to pay double. Using the PCGB Discount Code SC10PGB, Tel 08712310849 or log on to Silverstoneclassic.com The offer on tickets will run to the end of March so be quick.
Note - Your Club has negoiated for all PCGB members cars to be parked infield on the grass in the centre of the Silverstone circuit.

2) 24HRS LE MANS
At last club night a presentation was given by Steven Fowell on the arrangments made for Club members to get the best possible deal on Le Man 24hr.
I do have further details which I will bring along to next club night, if you require further details also see below or your lastest Porsche Post Page 17.

3) SILVERSTONE SUPERCAR WEEKEND

Dear Regional Organisers,

PCGB have again arranged infield parking at the forthcoming Supercar Race weekend to be held at Silverstone over the weekend of Friday 30th April, Saturday 1st May and Sunday 2nd May. (Monday is a Bank Holiday)
We have arranged for your members to be able to buy a weekend ticket very much cheaper through Club Office up to Friday 16th April. After then, they will have to buy tickets from the Silverstone Ticket Office.
The weekend tickets are £15 per person, for a 3 day ticket with infield parking.The public weekend ticket is £26 per person in advance and £43 at the gate and park outside. The infield parking known as a "Display of Porsche Cars" and we will send the tickets by post along with the infield pass for your Porsche car, when we send you your tickets.I realise that some of the Regions are somewhat distant from Silverstone but we will be pleased to see any member who comes to see the new Porsche GT3 R race on the New Grand Prix circuit, two firsts. 4) CLAY PIGEON SHOOTING
I would be grateful if you would kindly circulate the following to your members who will be promised a good day out.


The Essex Region is now taking bookings for their annual clay pigeon shoot which will be on 17 April. This will be a 100 bird shoot on Foulness for shooters with their own gun; fibre wad cartridges only please which will be available to purchase at the event, if required. This popular shoot will start with coffee in Great Wakering, followed by a convoy run onto Foulness. Cost including 2 course lunch with wine is £49. Because the shoot is on MOD land, please provide your name, address, shotgun certificate number, and car make with registration number that you will be travelling in. Please send your cheque made payable to M.Molyneaux at Blakes, Fir Tree Lane, Little Baddow, Chelmsford, CM3 4SS.

5) SHELL RETRO SHOP EVENT
Hello Everyone,

It's almost Spring and things are certainly looking up.
2010 is shaping up to be a very busy and exciting year for Magic of Motoring and on Sunday March 21st there is a World Exclusive event taking place in Newport Pagnell. We are pleased to announce the opening of our first Retail Shop on the High Street, Newport Pagnell.

Aston Martin Works Service, Porsche GB and Classic Porsche Specialist Export 56 will be supporting the event which takes place from 11.00am through to 6.00pm.MK Dons chairman Pete Winkleman, Milton Keynes Mayor Euan Henderson and ex Leicester, Norwich and England footballer Darren Eadie will be cutting the ribbon at 1.00pm.

Lots of Classic Cars, Sports Cars, Scooters and Classic Cycles will be on display.
