Hi Everyone

Region 24 Club Night this Wednesday the 14th May 2014. We hope to see a good turnout of cars, please park in the field at the rear of the pub. All the usual features including the raffle NAT etc. Just glanced at the weather and it forecasts a fine evening.

Please see update for some events below. The first two events are being run by the Porsche Centre Cambridge.
Would those who wish to join the Golf/BBQ please pay the deposit. If we have sufficient interest we may attend the Flying Proms. Names only at this time if your interested.

Porsche Centre Range Day
The Porsche Centre Cambridge has confirmed that the 'Range Day' to be held at IWM Duxford on 18/20 May 2014 has been cancelled.

Porsche Centre Arrive and Drive 19/20 July - IWM Duxford
A new event has been created by the Porsche Centre Cambridge called 'Arrive and Drive' This event will take place on the 19/20 July 2014. Locations will be IWM Duxford. Entry will be FOC and as the title suggests pre booked driving various models will be offered. More details will follow once received from the Porsche Centre.

R24 Regional/National Events
Sunday 18 May 2014 356 RegisterDay at the IWM Duxford
National 356 Register Day. To be held at IWM Duxford. Sorry no idea how many 356 cars will be on show. I suspect much will depend on the weather. (note you will be able to go to the IWM Duxford FOC on 19/20 July (see event above)

Also on Sunday 18th May AUTO Open Day.
I have received the following invitation for members to attend AUTO 2000 open day Nick Curson writes:-

'To thank our customers we are holding a open day. This is an opportunity to get your car on a lift and have a look over or just come for a cup of tea, meet other customers and talk about your car! We will kick off at 11.00 a.m and will be around until 3.00 p.m.'

We are really looking forward to this event. Mike Runnalls will shortly be sending out further details.

Regional Events for 2014
Annual Golf Event and BBQ R24 PCGB v Porsche Centre Cambridge
Our Annual Golf and BBQ event will be held at Kingsway Golf Centre on Thursday the 26th June 14 commencing at 1830. For those that have not attended before this event has now been running for many years and we play in teams against the Staff from the Porsche Centre Cambridge. This is a fun event. It does not matter if you have not picked up a golf club before. Many of us have not played before and this is Pitch and Putt over 8 holes and may also include the Himalayas putting course.
We also award Prizes for the winning team and nearest the pin. Following the Golf we retire to the Club House where we come together for the prize giving and BBQ. In order the Golf Centre can cater for you must register for the event (latest entry 11 June 14) and pay a £5.00 deposit pp. Please bring you payment to Club night or e mail me if you can't make club night. Kingsway Golf Centre location is Cambridge Road, Melbourn, SG8 6EY.

Proms in the Park "" 16th August 2014 - The Flying Proms
Providing we have sufficient interest we may attend the Flying Proms. Names please if you are interested.
Spend a full day or just the evening at the Shuttleworth Collection near Biggleswade. In the evening enjoy the Flying Proms. Listen to a 50 piece National Symphony Orchestra perform whilst watching unique vintage aircraft give an aerial display in sequence to the orchestra. The grand finale will be an exciting firework display. If you would like to attend please enter your name on the board at Club night or e mail me. Entry is £29.00 pp I am still awaiting flyers for this event but more detail can be found at http://www.shuttleworth.org/index.
