R3 Annual BBQ

Once again Deb & I will be opening our doors to PCGB club members. We will be holding what seems to have became an annual event and hosting our Grande Tyres BBQ at our garage at Whickham Ind Est Whickham NE16 3DA Sat 5th Sept all club members are invited to come from 2.00pm onwards. We are asking for a donation of £5.00 per person, payable on the day. All proceeds from the event will go towards our chosen charity of GNAAS The Great North Air Ambulance Service.
Please can anyone wishing to attend this event preregister here on the forum so as to allow us to gauge interest so that the quantity of food and drink required can be estimated to avoid unnecessary waste.
If anyone wishes to put their car on our four post ramp to take a look at the dirty side and potentially check for any nasty surprises that may be lurking under there. Again let me know in advance how many are wishing to use the ramp, so everyone gets the opportunity.
This event is not weather dependant, as we discovered a few years back, the garage is big enough to bring the BBQ inside if it rains.
One final thing- don't forget your picnic chairs.

Yet another fantastic R3 BBQ! Big up to Greg and Deb for hosting this event again, as always the food, drink and camaraderie were second to none. Here's to next year!

First of all thank you to everyone who attended this year's annual BBQ, lovely to see some new faces too. A great turn out of cars, and the usual copious amounts of R3 banter. Thanks to everyone who brought along of food & drink (especially the delicious hand baked cakes, every year our R3 ladies excel themselves). A special thank you to chef Dave Urwin who volunteered to man the BBQ all afternoon, keeping the sausages & burgers in constant supply.
This year we managed to raise £200 and this added to your kind donations from our regional show at Witton + John Hawkins of Specialist Cars of Malton's very generous donation gives a grand total of £900. This will of course be donated to our region's chosen charity GNAAS (Great North Air Ambulance Service).
If you were there you would have seen Moira make quite an emotional last presentation as acting RO to Kenny for his efforts in the driving competition during the national show weekend at Althorpe a few weeks ago. Well done Kenny & thanks for representing R3, better luck next time.[:)]
I would personally like to thank Graham and Moira for the tireless effort and stella work they have done in continuing to move R3 forward over the last 3 years, they are a wonderful couple and their team effort leading the region will be sadly missed as I'm sure you will all agree. As they step down from the role of ROs I believe the region has blossomed with them at the helm. My only hope is that Deb & I can continue doing such a fantastic job, as we step into their shoes.
Obviously we have not undertaken this role lightly. After a lot of consideration, we decided to step up and take this on. Due to our work commitments we may struggle from time to time so I hope that together with the continued help and support of the enthusiastic committee of volunteers we have already assisting the region we can make it work.
Greg & Deb

Good luck Greg and Deb.

Wishing you every future success with R3, sounds like you have got off to a great start.

Very best wishes - you know where I am if I can be of any assistance.
