R3 Beamish - 9th September

Hi all
Anyone going to this meeting this year.
Should be a great improvement on Raby Castle (sorry R3) but dodging sheep s**t isn't my idea of a Sunday out!

Beamish will not allow vehicle movements between 11.00 and 15.00 due to health and safety. The museum is rather large so will need a good long day to take full advantage so we should aim to be there for around 10.00am. We will be meeting at Wetherby Services on the A1 aiming to leave at 8.30 with a travel time of about 90 minutes on the A1. If time allows we will take a more interesting route.

Entry will be £5 per person instead of the usual £17 so it will be an excellent value day out, see their website here for more information.

John I have edited your post just so all the information is in one place at the top of the thread - Mark

Hi John

Unfortunatley we can't make this one, hope you all have a great day out

Yes John hopefully we will be there instead of the Morecambe run for a change. We might make a weekend of it and get a hotel for the Saturday night, in which case we would meet everyone at Beamish. Lindas mum very ill in hospital in Coventry at the mo so we dont know how we are fixed yet.

Hope to see everyone there.

Sorry to hear that Chris - please send Linda our thoughts
Hope to see you both there (we keep telling you both to "get a room")
I agree - rains every year in Morecambe so even if it rains at Beamish, there's lots to see
Looking forward to it.

hi all,
i`m dragging liz to the frontrunner at calke abbey nr derby on the 8th and we had planned to go to york races on the 9th, beamish sounds like a good alternative.

Marlies and I will be doing this so will see you all at Wetherby.

Never been to Beamish so looking forward to it [:)]

Have ordered an extension of this week's sunshine, so should be a great day. (don't forgot the suncream!). Looking forward to it.
Sorry, can't make meeting on Wednesday as long meeting down in Rugby and won't be back in time. Don't think will have 911 back by then either as getting manifolds fitted at moment. (starting to blow).
